Originaly, as far back as the 14 century gothic building is placed exactly in the centre of Prague near the Charles square. It was build in the time of the rule of the Roman emperor and Czech king CharlesIV. He personally decided about the construction of one of the most edifice work of the world - the Charles Bridge, which is around 5 minutes far from the Hotel.
In the spring 2006 the area Salmovka was converted to the Hotel Athena Palace, personifying the atmosphere of a private aristocratic residence, furnished with antiques and guaranteeing a home from home for every traveller visiting Prague either on business or holiday.
