Hotel History
The Golden Well is a hidden gem of a 16th century hideaway in the Genius Loci of a romantic rose garden on the grounds of the Prague Castle and in the noble neighbourhood of the Czech parliament. The renaissance house originally belonged to Roman Emperor and Bohemian King Rudolf II (1552 - 1612) and served as the Residence of the famous Astronomer Tycho de Brahe (1546 - 1601).
Abandoned and nearly destroyed during the communist regime in Prague, a major renovation was necessary to bring back its beauty and charm for its re-opening in 2000.
